Join Chabad of Lamorinda for a meaningful and uplifting Shofar and Tashlich gathering at the Lafayette Reservoir on Rosh Hashanah.
This brief, 15-minute High Holiday experience offers an easy and welcoming opportunity to hear the sound of the shofar and participate in the traditional Tashlich prayer beside the water. Together, we will reflect on the past year, pray for a sweet and healthy New Year, and celebrate Rosh Hashanah in the beautiful outdoor setting of the Lafayette Reservoir.
The program is open to adults, children, families, and community members of every background. No synagogue membership or previous experience is required.

What Is Tashlich?
Tashlich is a meaningful Rosh Hashanah tradition held near a natural body of water. Participants recite special prayers that express the desire to leave behind the mistakes of the past year and begin the New Year with renewed purpose and hope.
Hear the Shofar
The shofar is one of the central mitzvahs of Rosh Hashanah. Its powerful sound calls us to reflect, reconnect, and begin the Jewish New Year with spiritual inspiration.
Families and individuals from Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, and across the Lamorinda area are warmly invited to attend.
Admission is free. Please register so we can prepare for everyone attending.
