Building Campaign

With deep gratitude to G‑d, we are thrilled to share the news that Chabad of Lamorinda is taking the next step!

This new Center for Jewish Life is located at 3477 Golden Gate Way Lafayette CA. It is centrally located, commercially zoned, and generously sized to host our current programs and much more! This has the potential to permanently and positively change the landscape of the Jewish life in the community.

We have closed on the property December 6th, 2021.

Phase One, which is now mid renovations, will allow for Mazon, a full kosher supermarket including Kosher meat and kosher fresh goods, a dedicated synagogue and event space, classrooms for Hebrew school and Preschool, as well as a full commercial kitchen that will provide Kosher catering and packaged Shabbat & holiday meals.

Phase Two (completion date to be determined), will add additional space below for storage and building the first ever Kosher Mikvah in the Lamorinda area.

Phase Three (completion date to be determined) will add 2 floors above that will build out a full Jewish preschool, with dedicated classrooms, playrooms, educational displays, as well as a teen lounge. We will also have special guestrooms for people to stay for a Shabbat or holiday.

This new purchase is YOUR Jewish center, and it is up to YOU to be part of the historic moment and make it happen!

Thanks to the generosity of several community members, we are getting closer to our goal. To finalize the renovations though, we need YOUR help!
