Fostering a dynamic Jewish community is our shared aspiration! Picture a lively space hosting a myriad of events catering to all ages and diverse backgrounds. Our vision encompasses a haven for educating our children about Judaism, Israel, and their heritage—a place for both learning and socializing. Imagine combining this with the convenience of a full kosher store, delectable takeout options, and gourmet kosher meals.
Preschool & After school
This expansion not only provides an enriched learning environment but also facilitates the establishment of a Jewish afterschool program. This program aims to offer a space for children to socialize, complete homework, and receive additional Jewish education while affording their parents more time for work and personal responsibilities.
BAY KOSHER
Simultaneously, Chabad of Lamorinda is dedicated to enhancing the BAY KOSHER market by incorporating a fully equipped commercial kitchen. This kitchen will be instrumental in crafting complete Shabbat and Holiday meals available for takeout on a weekly basis. Picture the enticing aroma of freshly baked challah and the allure of a full gourmet meal. Additionally, our plan includes introducing the only kosher takeout offering Shawarma and a variety of delicious hot foods throughout the day here in Contra Costa.
Capital Campaign
To bring this transformative project to fruition, we are starting a capital campaign seeking to raise $1.3 million, covering the entire scope of this initiative. Anticipating an 18-month timeline for permits, final plans, and construction, our goal is to have everything ready for the 2024-2025 school year.
