Welcome to Lamorinda Hebrew School

Lamorinda Hebrew School is a contemporary Jewish learning center serving children and families throughout Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, and the greater Lamorinda community. We welcome every Jewish child, regardless of religious background, level of observance, synagogue membership, or previous Jewish education.

Our goal is to make Hebrew School the beginning of a lifelong connection to Judaism—not the end of Jewish learning. Through engaging, hands-on experiences, students develop Jewish pride, learn Hebrew, discover Jewish history and traditions, celebrate the holidays, and build a meaningful connection to Israel and the Jewish people.

Lamorinda Hebrew School was founded to give every Jewish child—including those with little or no previous background—an education filled with knowledge, joy, friendship, and lasting memories. Our warm and inclusive environment helps children understand what Judaism is all about while inspiring them to embrace their Jewish identity for a lifetime.

No membership or prior affiliation is required to enroll. Every Jewish family is welcome.
